Good news to all my fellow Zamboangeños, The Pilipinas Got Talent Finalist Allan “ALAKIM” Dela Paz will be performing his Amazing Magic and Illusions in Zamboanga City on 11.11.11 at 6pm in Astoria Regency, ALAKIM is a full pledge member of MAGFI (Magicians Foundation Inc.) was one of the eight finalists in the first season of the ABS-CBN franchise hit show “Pilipinas Got Talent“, he was one of the most applauded performers during the Finals on July 24, 2010 where he disappeared from the stage and emerged at the top bleachers to the amazement of the jam packed coliseum!

It has been like four months since I heard that Erik Mana is back on the street to show his amazing skills and talent in magic, but yet due to lack of knowledge about the show, I am not sure if this rumors are for TV or for one of his live shows in Broadway Theater.

I am too excited to see him performing magic again, so I had wished that this one would be for TV Special and yes... GOD heard and answered my prayers, becuase finally, "HE IS BACK"...

Mental Assassin: Justin Pinon

Justin Pinon A.K.A Mental Assassin is on HOT SEAT again, this time as a contestant in Pilipinas Got Talent, he is known for his ability to read your mind and manipulate your decisions and behaviour. He claims that he possesses neither supernatural powers nor psychic abilities. He can figure out what you are thinking through the use of Psychology, his expertise at body language reading, hypnosis, suggestion and showmanship.

He had been featured as guest stars in different Pinoy Tv Shows such as Rated K, Sweet Life with Lucy Torres, Kalye and 3 special episodes at Ruffa and Ai where he repeatedly astounded the audience, hosts and crew with his performances. He also gained a big reputations in Philippines paranormal activity when an online Filipino network called Flippish.com featured him and give him a special online Metalism Act, in his Special Show he did not just show his talent but also boasted that Filipinos can also do the same what International Artist can do.

He also performs at hotels, corporate events, media events, social gatherings, government events and private parties, where he has performed for influential people like Henry Sy, Richard Gordon, and other famous celebrities, and this allowed him to be recognized by FHM, and just recently the said Magazine featured him on their FHM website.

Justin is an open minded person who believes that he is still in the stage of learning his chosen art, he believes that learning is a continuous process, despite his achievements in the Art he still remained humble person, approachable and friendly.

As one who study this art, I am so honored to meet him in person, mayasa ako at minsan sa buhay ko ay “NAKADAUPANG PALAD KO ANG ISANG JUSTIN PINON”.


He is also a proud member of the group called The Story Circle., this is where I met him together with some Filipino Brand Name like Nomer, Cakit and Carlo, these three mentalist are just few names you’ll meet when you visit the gathering of the TSC held every 6pm of Saturday at Starbucks Ali Mall.

What he did in the PGT show was not easy, just to elaborate things to you I would like to say that I already saw few of his performance live “Right in front of my eyes” and I can really say that it is very extraordinary.

I am also practicing this craft and really it is not easy to master this, you really have to devote a lot of times and effort, just like MAGIC, you have to practice all the time, but in mentalism, it’s different, you have to have a strong command a will to learn the basic to advance, there is a lot of readings and self steaming, as what Cakit said “Ask you self WHY”.

Why do you want to learn this art? Are you ready? Because being a mentalist is not easy, you must accept all the circumstances that come with it, that is why, I kept my self of being hooked up with this craft, but I am still practicing some few techniques.

Anyway, there is a lot to say about Justin Pinon, but I think in this video showing his performance on what we called Remote Viewing Methods in Pilipinas Got Talent will speak and describe him best.

Erik Mana

I have been waiting for this moment, At last ERIK MANA is back, the waits is almost over, His back, The Mastermind is on the road once again to make you BELIEVE in the craft called MAGIC.

Some years ago, I was sitting in front of our Television Watching a Filipino Guy doing the craft, I thought before, only Americans can do it, but I was so wrong and at the same time fascinated with him, his way and approach are so smooth and could really differentiate him from the rest.

He is the reason why I am practicing MAGIC right now, because of him, I keep on dreaming that one day I could also have my own TV Special Like him, or maybe I could also show off my talent on the street and make people once again BELIEVE in the world of MAGIC. 

I am so excited to see his new MAGIC.

Ever since he was a child, Erik Mana has been practicing Magic, in 1989 Erik Mana began his professional magic career in Canada, he was an apprenticed for three years, traveling across the country with some well known Canadian’s Professional Magician. 

In 2001 Erik Mana moved back to the Philippines and begun his quest in Magic in his own country,  he become an instant phenomenon, he has already two TV special , Stranger and Mastermind, these two TV special is considered to be the first Magic TV Special who featured Filipino Magician.

Erik Mana is also a member of the world’s prestigious magic society called (The Society of American Magician), whose member include Harry Houdini, Harry Blackstone Jr., Thurston, Lance Burton and David Copperfield.

The name Erik Mana is not just name but a pride to the Philippines, he is truly a world class and truly a great Magician.

Sinu ba sa atin ang hindi nakaka-alam ng kanta na yan, marahil masasabi kong walang pinoy na hindi nakakaalam ng kantang iyan, tuwing tanghali, pagsapit ng alas dose, parang isang Flag Ceremony na ang maririnig mo sa kabahayan ng mga Pilipinong nananghalian, parang kulang ang hapagkainan kapag di mo mapapanood ang kaguluhang hatid ng Eat Bulaga.

Ang Eat Bulaga ay maituturing nating bituin sa tanghaling tapat na ginagabayan ng tatlong hari kasama ang mga dabarkads na lalong dumadami, silang lahat ay nagibibigay ligaya sa ating buhay, ipinanganak ang All Time Favorite Noon Time Show ng Pinas noong Hulyo 30, 1979 saktong dalawamput isang araw  pagkatapos akong isilang sa mundo, kaya masasabi kong kinalakihan ko ang panonood ng Eat Bulaga.

Masasabi ko rin na magkakaisa ang buong bansa kapag sinabi kong napakarami na ng taong napasaya ng Eat Bulaga, humigit kumulang nang siyam na libong epesodes na ang kanilang naipalabas sa telebisyon, at ang mga parangal na kanilang nahakot hindi rin matatawaran, ang mga papremyo at sangkatutak na katatawanan at halakhak hindi na kayang ilista ng kamay lamang.

Noong bata pa ako, paborito ko ang pakontes nilang Gaya-Gaya Puto Maya, ito’y isang stand-up comedy na paligsahan na pakkulo ng Eat Bulaga na kung saan ang mga kalahok ay gagayahin nila ang kanilang idolo, at hinding-hindi ko makalimut-limutan ang isang episode nito na may kalahok na ginaya nila ang Eat Bulaga Host na sina Tito, Vic at Joey.

Bulagaan time, isa rin ito sa mga inaabangan ng karamihan, lalo na ang porsyon na kung saan si Aiza ay magtatanong kay Tito Sen ng kung ano-anong bagay na hindi naman masasagot ni Tito Sen, at isa sa pinakamalupit na tanong ni Aisa kay Tito Sen ay.

Aisa: “Sir! I have a question”
Tito Sen: “Ok what is your Question”

Aiza: “Anong pie ang nilalagay sa kalendaryo?” nabubulul pa si Aisa ng sabihin niya yan.

Tito Sen: “Anong pie ang nilalagay sa kalendaryo? Meron ba nun?”

Aiza: “Meron po”

Tito Sen: “Eh ano?”

Aiza: “Eh di Petsa Pei”

Lupetz no, marahil konti lang nakakaalam niyan, pero ako naaalala ko pa ang eksenang iyan, hinding hindi ko pa nakakalimutan, sariwang sariwa pa sa aking isipan. Nakatayo si Aiza sa taas ng bangko habang nagjojoke.

Sila rin ang nagpa-uso ng pinaka malupit na joke ng pinoy ang “WALA KAYO SA LOLO KO”, naks naman! Eh kung Joke Time lang naman ang paguusapan natin at blog tungkol sa Eat Bulaga naku mga MARE at PARE “Wala kayo sa lolo ko” dahil ang LOLO ko, ang pinaka malupit na sa lahat ng LOLO.

Anak ng, puro na lang Lolo nila ang magaling, pano naman ang Lolo ko. eheheheh

Inaabangan din noon ng mga tao ang pakontes nilang hango sa pelikulang pinoy na kung saan ang mga kontestan ay gagayahin nila ang ilang eksena sa pelikula. Inaabangan din ang Little Miss Philippines kung saan naging kalahok sina Camille Prats, Jessa Zaragoza, Gladys Reyes, Donna Cruz, Dindin Llarena, Francine Prieto, Dessa, Pauleen Luna, Lady Lee and Aiza Seguerra, naging kalahok naman ng That’s My Boy sina Atong Rivilla, Goyong at Tolits , at sa Mr. Pogi naman naging kalahok ang ngayong iconic idol ng bayan na si Jericho Roseles at Danilo Barrios. isa rin sa mga naging kontestan nila ang Pamoulive Commercial Model na si Miss. Alice Dixson na famous sa kanyang punchline na “I can Feel It”.

Hindi lang isa dalawa o tatlong tao ang napasikat na ng Eat Bulaga, kundi napakarami na, halos lahat ng mga naging main stay host nila ay nabiyayaan ng kasikatan, ang Eat Bulaga ay isang ng Institusyon ng Pinoy Telebisyon Show at sina Tito, Vic at Joey at isa nang Haligi ng industriya.
