Satti
I am craving for this food, huwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…
It’s been a awhile since I last ate this food, now I am craving for it, it is a very traditional food from Jolo Sulu, it is the Tausug version of Satay of Malaysia, Indonisia, Singapore and Thailand, the only different is the sauce, The Satay Sauce in Malaysia is mostly made of peanuts, it’s like Beef Kurmah or Kebab, yeah also tastes good.

But the Satti in Jolo Sulu is actually the modified version of what we call Isaw-Isaw na mabibili sa kanto or grilled food but with special sauce, unfortunately only few people who knows how to cook the sauce, the holder of the recipes swears not to reveal it to anybody.

Anyway, to describe how the sauce tastes like, it is something like sweet, hot and spicy, salty, something like sweet and sour, ahhhhh!!! I can’t describe it to you, but the only thing I can say is it really tastes good.

In Zamboanga, you can also find some restaurant who serves Satti as one of their menu and delicacies.
Every time I heard the name of this food I remember Anthony Andres, a very good friend of mine, he visited Zamboanga because we had a Magic Show that time, we brought him to this Satti house and let him try it, we were all laughing at him, his all sweat because he doesn’t really eat hot and spicy food, we forgot to asked him if he like hot and spicy or just regular sauce. Huwaaahhhhh…. I am craving for it.
Can anybody teach me how cook it?
Thank you for reading.
