Since it’s our rest day today, we decided to go to Batha, an open market to all nationalities here in Saudi Arabia, Batha served as tambayan and meeting place for all Filipinos as well as other nationalities like India, Bengali, Nepalese and some other more. We went there just to hang out and also to look for some cheap things to buy, I always go to this place every week ends.
Today we went to Batha around 6pm; it’s late already because we still have a work tomorrow, but I have to go there to meet someone, a dear friend from Zamboanga City, he treat me to Jollibee and buy me a load for my cellphone (wow what a nice friend), but you know what, what makes this day different from the other is that, while roaming around and looking for something, I saw this one particular Potato Chips, and I know that this is from the Philippines.
Philippine product is common out here specially food, like can goods, noodles, biscuit and also cosmetics and more, I was supposed to buy pandesal in one of the Filipino bakery here when I saw this Potato Chips, I smiled very wide when I read the name and it says “Vcut” I grab immediately four because this is one of my favorite snacks, when I was still in the Philippines I always buy Vcut every time I watch movies in theater, every time I am working, while I’m talking to our customer over the phone I am eating Vcut, every time I go to sari-sari store I always ask if they have Vcut.
I really miss eating Vcut, Good thing I found some store selling Vcut here in Riyadh, I love Vcut, I love this food more than any other Potato Chips out there.
